Women’s History Month has come and gone…or has it?  NO!  Women’s issues are front and center (or should be) EVERY month of the year!  On May 4, 2017, join accomplished and prolific children’s book authors, women all, as they celebrate HEROINES, as portrayed in fact and fiction!  Sponsored by the National Children’s Book and Literacy Alliance, the event will be held at THE UNLIKELY STORY BOOKSTORE in Plainville, Massachusetts, and will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.  Register for your FREE TICKET and find additional information regarding parking, directions, etc. at the EVENT WEBSITE.  authors

The panel compiled by the NCBLA for this event is stellar!  You will not want to miss the wise, motivational, and inspirational thoughts of:  Katherine Paterson, Rita Williams-Garcia, Jeannine Atkins, Ekua Holmes, and Heather Lang!  Teachers, aspiring writers, librarians, parents, and students (grades four and up) – come one and all – to reenergize your efforts to empower and encourage young female students, finding a muse for your own creative efforts, all the while!  Youth Services Librarian extraordinaire, Grace Worchester Greene, from the Vermont Department of Libraries, will serve as the moderator.

You can also speak to these gracious authors after the panel discussion, as they will be signing books!  A book bag raffle, complete with books from each author, will be held, so hold on to your FREE TICKET.  Be sure to check out the EVENT WEBSITE for more information:  visit to register today!!
